So, MTV is going to be filming a new reality show in my sleepy little hometown. They want to do a show about teens who are haunted, have experienced paranormal happenings, or work at haunted establishments. They’ve called my friend’s mom several times, getting the lowdown on all of Jefferson’s ghostly stories.

My hometown is reputedly one of the most haunted towns in Texas. My friends and I used to go ghost-hunting often; it’s a favorite pasttime of people that live there. We would stay in the infamous Jefferson Hotel, or the Urquhart House. Honestly, I was a skeptic before I ever began “ghost-hunting.” I thought it was all just a scheme to attract tourists, but I became a firm believer. There are just too many creepy, unexplained occurrences for me not to be.
